The factory job is at a closed in dirty place [15/hr], but the lawncare job[425/week commision] is seasonal with the exception of christmas lights and sales calls during the winter.

  1. I would consider what type of benefits they offer.  Most lawn care companies don't offer many benefits.  But usually most factories do offer health insurance.  My husband has done both.  He currently is working lawn care.  But I think he actually prefers factory.  And in lawn care there may be days that you will put in well over 8 hours in a day or 40 hours in a week.  I would also consider what kind of turnover each place has.  Do you see that either one has want ads running alot looking for help?  If you do then that means that have a hard time keeping employees.  There is usually a reason for that and you may want to think about it before accepting the position.  Also consider with both whether they have set periodic reviews.  If they have scheduled reviews then these are your opportunities to get raises.  Another thing to consider is whether you want to work outside in the elements.  You will have to work in extreme heat & cold in lawn care.  Another consideration is do you want to work with the public.  You will in lawn care but not in factory work.  And also consider that you will most likely have a supervisor looking over you in a factory.  You do have more freedom working in lawn care since you usually go out by yourself to treat lawns.  Good luck to you no matter what you decide.

  2. factory is better.....lawn care is seasonal (usually spring and summer) and you cant do it in the rain....(guess when it rains the most)

  3. factory
