What is a better mountain to go snowboarding, and also just to hang out? Breckenridge or Aspen?

Yeah...it's always good to see a fellow Summit County gal!  Breck is alright, flat, windy, full of tourists.  A Basin is where it's at.  The girl above had it good.  If you are in WA you have to go to Baker...best snow, hands down, bar none.  Great terrain as well.  Good luck!

I lived in Summit County for 13 years...preferred Copper Mt. & Arapahoe Basin to Breckenridge for riding, but the nightlife in Breck is the best in the area.  I found Breck annoying to get around on a board...lots of traversing.  I would recommend staying in Frisco, CO...riding Copper & the Basin & taking the free bus to Breck for hanging out at night.  Went to Aspen only once...too d**n expensive!!  

Also lived in Telluride, which is a great, challenging mountain with great entertainment & nightlife in town, but also super pricey.

Spent last season in Utah...best winter ever!  One week it snowed 95".  I can't tell you the name of the resort because we want people to keep going to the big resorts down by Park City to keep our crowds mellow like they are now.  Do some research on smaller resorts in Utah & you'll probably find it.  But there's not much nightlife so I'd say Solitute may be more your speed.  Pretty intense hike-to terrain there.

Well, In Colorado, Breckenridge is one of the best mountains around. Really awesome parks, great snow, and a great variety o terrain. They also have exceptional nightlife.

In Utah, I would suggest that you go to Snowbird. As its partner, Alta, is skiers-only, most boarders come hang at snowbird.

In Washington, I would check out Summit at Snoqualamie. Pretty decent snow, exceptional parks, and awesome terrain. The nightlife, here, as well as the rest of ski resorts in WA, is as present as in Colorado and Utah, but it is still a great place to hang out.
