  1. A very good Photo-Editing software available is Adobe PhotoShop, but only a 30-day trial for PhotoShop is available for free. To try it out go to http://www.adobe.com/downloads

A free alternative to PhotoShop is GIMP. While it is as powerful as PhotoShop, it's a bit harder to use. If you can't get your head around it, check some tutorials on YouTube:

    http://www.gimp.org

    Hope that helps.

  2. If your a beginner and want to mess around, download the open source image editor GIMP, just google and download it, since it's open source it's free and comprable to Photoshop.

  3. http://www.download.com/Paint-NET/3000-2...

Saw this program yesterday on Download.com

Have not tried it myself yet.

  4. It all depends on what you are doing with your pictures. Photoshop is good for creating, and modifying pictures. Aperture, and adobe lightroom are designed with photographers in mind, and for the most part are designed strictly for photos. From what i remember they emphasize on be a non disruptive way of editing your photos. Meaning if you dont like your edits you can always go back to your original file. I'd say that photoshop has a sharper learning curve than Apeture or Lightroom. If you think photoshop might be something you're interested in maybe consider buying photoshop elements its cheaper, the full blown version of photoshop might be a little over kill for just photo editing.

  5. Photoshop is the best software for editing pictures even professionals use this program although for starters its quite confusing but if you get a hand on it, it so cool
