What is a better qualifictation? a diploma course or a graduate course?

I am interested to take Gemology. There are two schools im choosing from. The other is offering a Diploma Ceritificate, the other a Graduate Certificate. What exactly is the difference?

Diploma is ashort course that ends in months and graduate is a confirm two years degree after Intermediates and its got more potential !

A certificate means you meet minimum requirements for the study of "Gemology".  It's a bare bones curriculum, with fewer classes.

A graduate certificate means you have taken more courses, and it takes more time.

Schools often have different levels, so they can attract different types of students, those who want to do it "on the cheap" and those with more money and time, willing to get more enrichment (and make the school richer at same time).

Important things about any diploma certificate or graduate certificate, is whether the school is "accredited" by any Gemology Institution.  Do reputable Gemologists believe the school does what it's supposed to do?

Are there hours of credit transferrable to other schools?

Best to ask for references, and make some phone calls, before signing any contract, no matter what level you choose to train for.

a graduate course, definitely. a diploma course takes less time but a graduate courses seems more, shall we say, professional take to it. not that a diploma course isn't, it's just that it's kind of "better" to look at or more impressive in a resume.
