  1. A bio-pesticide is where an organism - usually a bacteria - is used as a pesticide. An organic pesticide is where the pesticide is obtained from a plant, e.g. the neem tree, and not manufactured in a factory.

A bio- pesticide has the advantage of the pest not building a resistance to the pesticide, whereas an organic pesticide is normally much safer than an inorganic pesticide. Many organic pesticides can be made at home from various plants that grow round the house - for example, we can make organic pesticides from garlic, tobacco and chrysanthemum flowers.
