What is a black tag with a blue stipe for? ?

I see alot of cars lately with them on or even a sticker on a car tag.

It is supposed to signify immediate family of law enforcement, but now adays everyone gets the stickers. Now if you see the Plate like that, its most likely a Police officers private vehicle.

Yeah, Thin Blue Line sticker.  We put them on our personal cars.  

The real ones are sold only to LEOs.
