  1. The boomerang used in sports comes back to the thrower. It has a curved surface on one side and a flat surface on the other. As the boomerang flies, the air flows across the two sides with different speed. This difference in speed of air provides lift and allows the boomerang to fly. Now, it must be clear enough that the basic principle which govern the lift of the Boomrang is "Bernauli's Principle". As it flies, the boomerang spins, and this spinning motion helps the boomrang to complete the circle. (Gyroscopic Stability).......... Try balancing on a bicycle without rolling forward and you can easily understand the meaning of Gyroscopic Stability, the stability of spinning wheels. We have all spun a gyroscope or top, the spinning gives stability. The gyroscopic motion keeps rockets on course and bicycles upright. It is the same spinning motion that gives the boomerang stability in the air.
