In a break barrel airgun, the action of c0cking and loading is accomplished by activating a barrel latch, and swiveling the barrel downward on a hinge. This compresses the spring-piston, and exposes the breech for loading. After loading the barrel is swung back up into position where it latches in place. The gun is now ready to fire.
