  1. A break point is the point when the receiver has the opportunity to win the game. So if a player is serving and it's 30 - 40 there would be one break point. If it's 0 - 40 there would be three break points (or tripple break point). Then if the server loses their game they have been 'broken serve'.

In profesional tennis a player is expected to win the games which they serve, which is why they use the term 'break point' - but they sometime's lose their svice game, it's not unusual - especially for lower ranked players. No one seems to use the term break point in 'normal' games of tennis. =]

  2. A break point is when the person who is not serving is about to win a point over the opponent on there serve. Like if I was serving to you, but your winning right now on my serve and the score is 15-40. Hope that helps =D

  3. lol man lol...u don't know B!R!E!A!K P!O!I!N!T ???

    lol every1 has told u so...do i need to tell u? lol

    j.k man lol...

  4. Basically, players are "expected" to hold serve (it doesn't always happen, but the server has the advantage of hitting the first ball). If a player does NOT hold serve (i.e. loses the game that he/she is serving), it is considered a "break" of serve.

So, a "break" point would be the point(s) that could result in a service "break" (i.e. the server losing his/her game).

A "break" point could be when the server is serving at 0-40, or 15-40, or 30-40, or Ad-Out (similar to 30-40)!

  5. break point is when one person serves but the opponent get the point.....its something great/cool when u get a break point because the person who serves has an advantage.....

    Emma.....

  6. First of all, when a tennis player is serving a for a game (one point), he/she is expected to win that point. When the receiving player wins the point instead, the player who served was "broken." A break point is when a player is about to be broken.

  7. when a person is serving and his opponent makes a point
