    You can get cheaper one of course, but with camcorder you always get what you pay for.

    These ones are easy for e-mailing, video publishing on net etc. Since the file is ready right away.

    But you will always have better quality with miniDV or miniDV

    HQ. But those files are NOT ready for publishing, they require more computer work and conversions after.

    It all depends what you look for and what do you expect from the camcorder.

  2. It's a camcorder capable of recording to something other than a CD, DVD, tape or hard drive. I have a Canon FS11 flash camcorder and it's much, much faster to playback and record movies with. It has low energy consumption so it allows me a little more than 3 hours of battery life while recording on the highest quality. Since flash memory have few moving parts in them, it's more "shock-proof" and can retain your videos with greater safety and reliability AND can access the data within them faster.
