What is a capture card?

Question

all i know about it is that it is something that records videos or something but i want to know how to use it and I want to know the full process of taking a video with that and then posting it on the computer someone help please

Hey David,

Video capture cards come ether as a PCI card that you install on your mother board inside the computer, or as an external device called a converter box. The card is used to import video footage from your camcorder into your computer. you will need the varies cords, fire wire, RCA's etc to connect to and from both camera, and computer. check out my wed guide for more tips on captures card use.
