I have some extra credit work I can do before school starts and the bonus point question is: Miss X accidentally bought some "caracoles" for lunch at a market. What is a caracol?

Thanks! I tried google and wikipedia and found nothing but I found some links to skin cream so I was thinking it is something used in medicines and creams.

  1. A caracol is a snail.

    Thus caracoles is many snails.

  2. The -les ending had me thinking it was a word in Spanish, so I went to Google Translate and selected detect language and it came through that caracole(s)=snail(s)

    So

    CARACOL = SNAIL

  3. Blue eyes-

    Caracol is a Mexican food term.

    Caracol in Mexican food is the animal in the sea shell! It is quite larger than the land snails used in Spanish food.
