  1. cats are mammals that do not lay eggs
why would it be an amphibian? cat's have fur, are born from their mother and drink their mother's milk like humans do
    A cat is a mammal.

Mammals don't lay eggs: they give birth to their babies. They also have fur.

Amphibians live mostly in water. - therefore it is unlikely a cat would be a mammal as they don't like water. (domestic cats that is)

e.g. whales are mammals as they give birth to their babies but sharks are not mammals as they lay eggs.
