Question:

What is a cheap transparent material that is thin and bendable enough to be rolled? (ie perspex?)?

It is for an artpiece..it needs to be like perspex but thin enough to be rolled...

  2. Mylar.    Available in a wide range of size and thickness.

  3. how about tulle.

  4. Like PET?  the thinner it is, the smaller the diameter.  This is the closest you will get to perspex (Polymetholacrolate).

    Then there is mylar. like the stuff of archival envelopes for comic books.

    Celophane is the cheapest and super thin ( like .02mm).

    On the very soft side, you can use saran wrap. It comes in  colors now but will not support it's own weight.
