I am doing a report on this article and would be greatful if anyone is able tyo clarify what a climate ghetto actually is?

  1. You should have mentioned the term was on the 17th paragraph.  Others who had clicked your link probably got tired looking for the term after they got to the 10th paragraph.  

    I'd say this is a term that's only unique to the UK; I found the term used again on another UK based blog.  I'd surmised it means the devaluation of property values as a result of erosion, resulting from environmental changes.  As the picture shows on your link and mine, soil erosion is forcing people to abandon properties that are no longer habitable.


  2. I agree with the first answerer that it means the devaluation of a home or property due to the erosion of the land around it. It happens in places that get floods too, when a river floods it can knock out big chunks of land which would devalue the property value of anyone living along the river.
