  1. A cold turkey response is when someone reacts to a problem by just throwing it out right off the bat, as opposed to gradually fixing it over time. For example, someone realizes they have a smoking problem. They may respond cold turkey, which means they just stop smoking all at once, whereas most people have to slowly work their way off it. =] Hope that helps...


  2. Going cold turkey when giving up any addictive substance is a living nightmare. Personally I think its better to lower the amount of the substance gradually and then stop altogether.
