I need to create a full page colour study of a portrait using paint or colour pencils. how do I make a colour study??

  1. Using color you reproduce the portrait. The "study" is the act of visual transference of what you see color-wise. Consider the role of colors in  the print, photo, drawing or painting. In prints and photos you have the printing spectrum magenta, cyan blue and yellow. These colors overlap to produce all the color variations that provide details. Drawings and paintings are a different story the artist interprets the colors, using a painting spectrum, (yellow, red and blue).
