  1. It's a personal companion. Concubines were highly trained in pleasing their client emotionally as well as physically. They'd usually be with one at a time for specified duration.

    Concubines aren't legal in the U.S.A. but in Nevada there are legal brothels.

  2. A typical guy. It's a mistress. e.e;;;

  3. It is a person that commits adultry.  Not a good thing.

  4. Yes and no.  A concubine means different things in different cultures. Most of the time, it refers to a live-in servant that is available to the master of the house for sexual gratification.  I say 'master of the house' because they were reserved for the wealthy or for nobility.

    In todays terms, it would be much like Hugh Hefner and the Plaboy Mansion.  Hugh 'compensates' the women that live there.  They aren't legally obligated to sleep with him, but I would assume that none of them would refuse their gracious host.

  5. A concubine is like a mistress.  I don't think it's legal, that's called adultry.
