What is a consumer product?

Why would a laptop be a consumer Product? pleAse explaint. for a school assignment.

Business is classified as either B-to-B (business to business) or B-to-C (business to consumer). So, for example, store display racks are pretty much a b-to-b prodyct, because they're sold to businesses.

Laptops are sold to both businesses and consumers (individuals, people), so they are certainly a consumer product. Of course, businesses buy them, too, and in fact there are some lines of laptops for consumers and other lines for businesses.
