im thinking about getting a tattoo of a tree that will start at my waist on my right side and go upwards to about my armpit and slightly go towards the front of my body rather than my back.

ive searched google for countless types of trees because i want something that looks cool and is meaningful, not just an ordinary tree.

give me some ideas please

  1. how about a palm tree? its the national tree of hawaii, and hawaii is all about the faith for friends and family, and being nice, and respect. so it does have a very strong meaning. try it out? :] ur welcome, lol.

  2. Go look at some elven trees from Lord of the rings.

  3. These aren't really meaningful, but I do like the idea for a bonsai (to whoever said that) or a weeping willow.

If you want something meaninful, just say its the tree of life. Or that tree from the bible .. No one needs to know ;)

I can't really picture what that placement will look like but it sounds like it needs to be tall and thin?

  4. I love trees of life. They're beautiful :)

some history of the tree i googled:

Whereas in China the cherry blossom symbolizes feminine beauty, the feminine principle, or love in the language of herbs, in Japan the cherry blossoms are believed to exemplify the transient nature of life, because of their short blooming times. Cherry blossoms also symbolize clouds due to their nature of blooming en masse, besides being an enduring metaphor for the ephemeral nature of life,[4] an aspect of Japanese cultural tradition that is often associated with Buddhistic influence,[5] and which is embodied in the concept of mono no aware.
