  1. A Corporate Pilot usually refers to a pilot that works for and flys an airplane owned or operated by a corporation or business.

Corporations for example like: American Express, Time Warner, 3M, etc have their own aircraft to fly company executives around the Country & the World.  The pilots who fly these are employeed by their respective companies (hence "Corporate Pilot") to fly those aircraft.

Also pilot who work for charter companies (aircraft for hire) are referred to Corporate Pilots because of the airplanes they fly.  This is not as true a defination as above and the reference to Corporate Pilot comes mostly because they fly what is reffered to in the Aviation Industry as a Corporate Aircraft.

Example of a few of the bigger Corporate Aircraft (there are more)

    Gulfstream

Bombardier (who owns: Lear, Challenger, Global Express)

    Hawker

    Cessna

  2. Generally, someone who flies for a corporation or a business instead of, say, an airline or a charter.  Many of the large corporations in the world have their own private airplanes.  "Corporate pilots" fly them.

This can be a very lucrative job if you can get the right one.  It could also be a difficult job if the company requires you to be on call all the time.
