What is a cosmetic dentist???

i have never heard of that until a few minutes ago. and what is the difference between a cosmetic dentist and an ordinary dentist?

Nothing....all general dentists are Cosmetic dentists...

There is no RECOGNIZED specialty in cosmetic dentistry.

While traditional dentistry focuses on oral hygiene and preventing, diagnosing and treating oral disease, cosmetic dentistry focuses on improving the appearance of a person's teeth, mouth and smile.

Although they both do most of the same procedures, cosmetic dentist will repair teeth just to improve the looks of them, and general dentist repair and replace teeth that are damage due to decay or trauma to improve function.

you see the rappers with the gold teeth?  Your dentist down the street wouldnt be able to do that kinda thing normally.  A cosmetic dentist is the one that deals with things like that
