I recieved a email from the grant people saying that I was approved for a credit line of 7500 with 0% interest for 12 months. I wanted to know what is a credit line and is that a good deal or a scam?

  1. If you value your future, you will never answer an email like that.

If you want credit, go into a store and apply.

A credit line is how much credit you have with the issuer, the top limit of how much you can charge.

  2. A credit line is how much money you can charge to a credit card. That means you can charge $7500 to your card and if you pay it back in 12 months there will not be anything extra to pay. if 12 months passes, then it will start collecting interest and you will have to pay back alot more than what you borrowed. But its a scam if you just received the email out of the blue. If you got the email from somewhere that you applied for credit, then its legit, but if it just showed up and you didnt apply to that company for credit, then its a scam. Thats a good deal and almost too good to be true unless you own a home. Most people like me with excellent credit and who have had credit cards before can only get a credit line on each card for about $2500. Ive never owned a home though but have had credit cards. If youve never had any credit or loans before, then its a scam cuz they wouldnt give you that large of a line of credit right off the bat.
