That all depends on their research questions, methodological and theoretical orientation, etc.  Anthropology is a diverse field with many different approaches.  While many practitioners might share basic approaches to data gathering (i.e participant observation) what any individual researchers view on a particular issue - or even what they decide to look at to examine that issue - is a product of their individual experience, training and inclinations.
