What is a cusp my friends are saying i'm 1? HELP!!?

My friends say that i was born in a cusp or something when the sun is moving to another sign.

they say i'm a Libra/Scorpio 1 cause i was born on October 21st

what is a Cusp? what does it mean?

being born on a cusp is when you are born at the 'end' of one horoscope (in your case libra) and at the beginning of another ( in your case scorpio)

the 21st october is when the libra horoscope 'ends' and is also when the scorpio horoscope 'starts' so you are considered to have been born on the cusp (half and half of each horoscope)
