  1. oh you mean diaphragm - it is inserted vaginally for protection against pregnancy, usually along w/ spermicide.

    a diaphragm will not protect against STDs - a condom will.

    a diaphragm takes more time and effort to put on than a condom.

    a diaphragm should be left in place for 4-6 hours after s*x - a condom can be removed immediately with little effort.

    i have tried different types of birth control and can say condoms have worked best for me.

  2. I think you mean a diaphragm. A diagram would be a drawing...

    A diaphragm is a cervical barrier form of contraception, and creates a seal against the walls of the v****a, preventing sperm from entering the uterus. It is recommended that spermicide is placed in the dome of the diaphragm before use. It is recommended it is left in place 6-8 hours after intercourse.

    They are soft and made either of latex or silicon. If used perfectly, it's failure rate is 4-6%. IT DOES NOT PROTECT AGAINST STIs.
