I mean, is it just a cd with different packaging, or is the disc actually different?

Best answer that doesn't make me feel like an idiot gets 10 points.

Thanks.

  1. Digipaks are those CDs with the folded paper covers instead of the hard plastic jewel case. The music industry is moving to them because they both save costs and add visual appeal in a time where aesthetic attention is needed lest people just get the music Online. I hear they're real big in the UK; in the US, they're usually used for things like small labels and special editions. Oh, and just so you know, the printing comes off the paper covers real quick, so collectors tend to just keep the CDs outside the digipak.

If you need more, just run a Google Image Search query for "digipak"
