I had to take my Keeshond to the vet this morning, he was up all night vomiting and making bloody diarrhea. The vet gave him an antibiotic and something for the runs. His temperature was102. I was wondering if he had a fever. He also lost 5 lbs from the last time he was there a few weeks ago, he's 3 years old and usually in very good health.

  1. about 100. my puppy is really warm too. ALL THE TIME. she can be my heater in the winter :D

  2. Just keep an eye on the dog and be sure to push fluids as it sounds like he has the potential for dehydration.  If not taking any/much in the next 24 hours, contact your vet again!

  3. An adult is 100 - 102.5 with the average being 101.3

  4. Canine "normal" body temperature range is 100.5 - 102.5 Fahrenheit. Whatever it is that's ailing your Keeshond, he doesn't have a fever.

  5. Nope no fever.  The vet would have told you if he did.  Hope the antibiotics help.  I know how important you doggies are to you.  You don't need this right now when you are in the point of your recovery yourself.  I'm hoping that you had someone "help" you take the dog to the vet...you're not quite in ship-shape yet yourself!!!!!  I'll say a pray for your baby!!!

    Peace & Love  :)
