  1. I second the spider plant. I don't know exactly how hardy it is, as my mother is excellent at caring for plants, but I'm going to guess the other person is right. We've had spider plants since I can remember - probably the same plants or their clones (they reproduce a lot).

    They're cool looking, and kids (if they are like me lol) get a kick out of the hanging babies... cut them off the stems and put them in water, voila! New plant!

  5. The spider plant is an easy one. (I don't know the biological name) It only needs to be watered once a week and only needs moderate sun (it does fine in shade). However, if it is in sun and is watered more often (like any other plant) it will grow quickly. I've had one since I was 8 or 9 and haven't killed it yet (im 20).
