how to detect the name of my ethernet card?

pls help me im in confusion as i cannot connect my net with ethernet wire

An Ethernet Card is a device that allows your computer to communicate on ethernet cables. It can be integrated with your motherboard, inserted into an interface slot on your motherboard, or connected via USB.

Right click on My Computer and then select Properties.  Click on the Hardware tab and then click on the Device Manager button.

Look for the Network device drill down list and click on the "+" sign to see the name of the ethernet card you have installed.  If you don't see anything, you don't have an ethernet card.
