Could anyone give me a example in history where hindsight bias may have played a role in how the event is perceived

I'd use the example of September 11th because:

    1. There were countless warnings from various countries indicating an attack was going to occur.

    2. The president recieved an attack warning specifically stating "Osama Bin Laden to attack United States using hijacked airliners" with the twin towers in crosshairs.

    3. On the morning of 9/11, NORAD was conducting a test mission for an event that would have been about hijacked planes hitting buildings. When 9/11 occured, one of the flight control operators asked," Is this real world or excersize?", which is why it took so long for the fighters to get into the air.

    Hope that helps.
