A friend of a friend has approached me, as they have heard I have contacts in 'Opera'. I do, I suppose, and I also have contacts with choirs & orchestras- I've even chatted at parties to people who specialise in song cycles and Lieder. I have never, ever got involved in singer's contracts (I do lighting and staging). Help, quickly! It doesn't help me that it's a Bank Holiday.

  1. 75$

  2. No one should be offended if you ask their fee.  You can offend someone by not offering enough.

I play at weddings, funerals etc. and have a fee that is for the area I live in.  I have friends in other parts of the country that charge more or less.

Travel etc. may have to be considered.

Remember that the performer has to do more than sing.  They have to dress appropriately, get there, frequently rehearse with a acc. and even purchase special music.

  3. £60
