What is a fair offer at a dealership?

So I am wanting to buy a car, Ive never delt with car sales men. ALways bought trucks from family members. Anyway I dont really know how much to offer. Say the car is for 15,000. How low will they go? Whats not a crazy offer to ask for?

The first thing is to find out what all the options are on the car that you are looking at as well as the mileage . then you can go on line to N.A.D.A. and look up the suggested retail price for the car you are looking at I wold not recommend trading in a car are truck as  they will inflate the price of the vehicle being purchased to cover the allowance for the trade you are better off selling your vehicle out right your self. You should be able to buy for what the price is at the  left side of book.  good luck
