I would like to find out what the dealer pricing is for this unit so I can estimate the amount I should be paying, including installation of duct work (10-6" vents, 1-4" vent and 2 room returns and 1 central return. There seems to be a huge mark-up in HVAC installations and equipment purchases. The model number for the compressor is ASH13030 (Amana) and the air handler is ARUF3030. I have seen this unit on the internet for $1,600 dollars, but I know that running duct is labor intensive. Please let me know your thoughts on this and where I may find dealer cost on this split system. Thank you all.

  1. For unit and ducting and labor, you are talking about $4,000. It is not the mark up that will cost you, it is the materials. Ducting ain't cheap. Besides, you need more than a 2 1/2 ton unit for 2200 sq. ft. A 2 1/2 ton unit won't give you much cooling for that amount of space. To adequately cool 2200 sq. ft. you need at least a 5 ton unit.

  2. about 4000$
