I know the system's chip is from 2005, but the rest of the gear seems pretty good for a gaming system. I'm hoping a system guru might give me some pro's and con's to buying this system to use on current games and applicatons like Adobe Photoshop etc.. Thanks!

  1. if it were me...i would never buy a computer system for less than 2500

  2. Well unfortunately i am no guru, but I can tell you what that is a pretty good buy. I wish I had it. If the price is right I would say its good.

  3. Well, that is a fairly low-end computer set-up for todays standards and games. I wouldn't think it would go for much more than about 250.00 or less. The graphics card is brand new though, and the sound card is pretty good. You can definitely find a whole lot better if you have the money though, believe me.

  4. Now these prices are at the place I shop online they have been in business over 25yrs computer and home theater retail.

    Asus M2N-SLI mobo w/AMD X2-5000+ black edition +OCZ Platinum PC6400  memory and fan. - $149

    Western digital (2*500gb) sata 16mb cache 2*$62) = $124

EVGA GeForce 9600 GT Video Card - Dual Slot Edition, 512MB GDDR3, PCI Express 2.0, SLI Ready, (Dual Link) Dual DVI, HDTV - $84

Creative Labs Sound Blaster X-Fi XtremeGamer PCI Sound Card - $ 69

    Sony DRU-V200S -DVD DL 20x - $ 29

NZXT Apollo Black ATX Mid w/800w PSU - $119

Now these might not be the exact items but only better options for the prices above. Thanks and Good Luck

  5. I would pay $500 for it.
