I have a client who lives 45 minutes away, so with today's gas prices, I want to make sure that it would be worth my time to travel. But I also want to be fair to the client. So what is a fair amount to charge? Should I charge hourly? or per house? and how many hours should I work?

  1. Figure what it costs to drive there and back and definately charge by the hour. What type of cleaning--just dusting sweeping washing  or heavy work  scrubbing floors washing windows washing walls .  Get it straight  from the beginning what she wants.  then you will know how to charge her.  Obviously heavy work more money.  How many hours is up to her as she is paying and she knows what she wants done
