  1. if you have a very fine steal wool pad that will do the trick.if not try toothpaste

  2. Toothpaste.

  3. My grandmother taught me this about silver. Put a piece of aluminum foil in the bottom of a small bowl. Put your silver ring on top of the foil. Pour very hot water on it and a teaspoon of baking soda.  Let it soak for ten minutes. Dry it with a soft cloth. It will be nice and shiny! If you use toothpaste be sure it's not for tarter control.  They contain small granules that could scratch the silver.

  4. Have you got any whisky in the house or other spirit to soak it in for a short time - this should do the trick without scratching.

  5. leave it in hot water with washing soap for one to two hours, use old toohbrush and scrub it

  6. toothpaste.  Try to use the white "paste" kind instead of the gels.  The "pastey" kinds have more abrassives in them.  Although it sounds like you wouldnt want abrassives on your jewelry, it isnt to harse.  Afterall you use it on your teeth. Try a soft bristled toothbrush for those "hard to reach places".  You could just use your fingers for most of it.

  7. I use window cleaner.  Just spray & rub dry.  Use a toothbrush to get into the hard to reach places.

  8. Rip it in rubbing alcohol and scrub it with an old tooth brush. It will come up so shiny you wont believe it!

  9. stick it in your mouth and dry it with your shirt.  Digestive enzymes called amylase will clean it
