  1. Muay Thai

  2. Sambo is like that. Or you could take a few classes like BJJ and Kick Boxing. Same effect.

  3. Japanese Jiu-jitsu I'd suggest..

    Best wishes :)***

  4. Some of the major ones that teach all of the above are combat Sambo, Hapkido, Kujenkenbo, and Okinawin karate. All martial arts teach self defense.

remember it is not the style you train but how you train it that matters more in the long run.

  5. mixed martial arts or japanese ju jitsu

  6. TengGu Karate is a great one for learning all of the above. Ive been doing it for the past 9 months and since then i can successfully round house kick over my head. Many punches and self defense tactics such as leg "checks". As for joint locks, ive learnt a few such as head locks and arm bars.

  7. not sure wich one doesnt

  8. Aikdo, or Hakido,  Also, Judo

  9. Jiu Jutsu has something in all of those areas

  10. All martial arts teach this.

The issue lies in whether or not the teacher you choose knows his art well enough where he/she can locate where in the forms these techniques are and teach you how to apply them.

Otherwise, you are only learning how to throw your arms and legs around.

  11. Someone said nearly all of them. That is somewhat a correct statement. All should teach self defense. Many teach some joint locks combine with strikes and kicks. I believe you left out grappling(the art of throwing). Then that would change the answer to your question. That would narrow it down some.

I can't name them all. It would still be too many. I don't know then all either. Here are a few.

    Traditional Jujitsu

    BJJ

    Ninjitsu

    combat hapkido

Keep in mind there are other especially in the ryu styles. Also, many schools may teach these things as part of their curriculum, but it may not have been part of their original system. We teach it in our shorin ryu classes. When I was studying judo we were taught some jujitsu, kung fu, etc, but we weren't awarded any rank for those. It was for our knowledge and for personal protection. My instructor was a black belt in jujitsu and judo at the time. I later found out that many judo school only taught judo for tournament.

I had a desire to have rank in more than one style. This led me to my current path of Jujitsu and Shorin Ryu. Within our organization I can advance in several styles. We offer Judo, jujitsu, TKD, BJJ, Shorin Ryu some are only offered a specific location but we are welcome to train at any of them. We bring in Aikido, Krav Magna and others for work shops. Our main 2 styles are shorin ryu and jujitsu.

  12. Nearly all of them.

  13. Kenpo, Hapkido, Tae Kwon Do.....

Just about any style of karate includes those things.

They just don't focus on the joint locks, but they do have them.
