What is a floater in basketball? can you give me an example?

A floater is a shot that is taken from reletivily close range and is lightly thrown in the air almost to look like the ball is floating. If it is a successful floater than it will hit nothing but net. Watch Rajon Rondo of the Boston Celtics shoot a floater.
