  1. yogurt.  they think it's ice cream.  they'd easily eat their weight in it on a daily basis.

make some smoothies with lowfat plain yogurt - add your own sweetner.  The commercial kinds are kind of high in sugar.

  2. My daughter loves pasta and red sauce. Most times I can't get her to eat meat, but she gobbles it down. I just buy plain tomato sauce and season it myself, that way we get the flavors we like. She also loves it when I make hamburger gravy and egg noodle, or tiny meatballs in brown sauce(gravy) Hamburger gravy is easy, brown and season your meat. Drain grease. Stir in enough plain flour to coat the hamburger(it should "absorb" stay clear, no big chunks of flour), then add milk(or part milk part water, less rich and a little less fattening) to equal the amount of gravy you want to end up with. Simmer for a bit, stirring constantly. By adding the flour to the meat, you create a roux, which will thicken as it cools after being simmered for a little bit. Season with your favorite spices and serve, it's yummy and filling, especially on chilly fall or winter days. The meatballs are just cooked in brown gravy and served. When I realize it's been a few days since my picky brat ate meat, I usually make one of these meals, they are definitely my fall back favorites. Good luck!

  3. Chopped up berries with a tiny sprinkle of sugar with cream poured over them.

  4. Yogurt. Any style and any flavor. Frozen yougurt, smoothies, go-gerts, you name it. The one dish that I fixed ( my wife is the main cook, I'm the relief cook) is what we call simply "Noodles & Meat". Take two pounds of ground beef or ground turkey and brown it, cooking it all the way through all the while draining off the grease. Then boil up two pounds of elbow macaroni. Drain off the water. Put the cooked ground meat in the same pot you got the macaroni in. Open up some Campbell's Tomato Soup and scoop in enough to cover all of the pots contents. You make it saucier by add more soup. Don't thin the soup with water, just use it out of the can. Get a can of sweet corn, drain off the water and toss that in. Boom, dinner is served. It's like a chilli mac or cheap stew. It freezes well and leftovers taste better than the first served. Kids love it.

  5. My daughter absolutely LOVES fruit.  I will puree it but still make it with very little chunks (so that it looks like stirred up jell-o) and freeze it so its like slush. I give it to her for dessert and she loves it. As far as dinner I make her chicken fingers in the oven but I coat the chicken in Parmesan cheese and bake it,then cut it in strips. She loves that and I will make her broccoli that I put in the food processor and mac and cheese. I'm not really into a lot of cheese so I never go overboard. For lunch I don't get too creative. PB& J sandwiches are her fav but I give her goldfish crackers on the side and some sort of cut up fruit. Breakfast is normally oatmeal, banana, and applesauce. So again thats not very creative but I will also instead of giving her oatmeal will switch it up and give multi-grain frozen waffles or I make mini pancakes for her.

I just try and give her meals that will fill her up because she burns food fast since she is VERY active. I also make sure I give her fruits and veggies daily.

  6. Mac and cheese

    Grilled cheese

    Applesauce

Tortillas with turkey and cream cheese

    Jelly toast

  7. Spinach and zucchini! We've got a huge garden in the backyard and we use lots of fresh veggies. I've got an amazing recipe for zucchini casserole that my mom has made for 50 years:

    2 cups grated carrots

1 box Stove Top stuffing mix (or any similar size)

    8 ounces sour cream

1 small can cream of chicken soup

2 cups (about 6 small) zucchini

    1 small onion, chopped

Cook zucchini and onion in boiling water for 5 minutes. Drain, and add soup, sour cream, and grated carrots.

Mix only the butter required for the stuffing mix with the crumbs (do not add water) and put half of the mixture in the bottom of a 3 qt. casserole dish, then place the zucchini mixture on top, and place the remaining stuffing mixture on top of that. Bake at 350 degrees F. for 35 minutes.

You can also add a sliced cooked chicken breast for more flavor or a heartier meal, if you desire.

  8. That yoghurt and ice cream thing - my toddler loves the little pots as he can hold them himslef and if it's hot we stick a couple of lolly sticks in them  and pop them in the freezer so they REALLY ARE ICE CREAMS!!! Then even my 6 y/o will eat them :)

Also rice with soy sauce and broccolli. Oh and homemade refried beans (just onions, garlic, selection of beans boiled down in a bit of (lo salt) stock.

    Now I feel hungry....

  9. both my boys always at chef-boy-rdee.... thats one food we never fought over, they also were fond of hotdogs and rice .... but only for afternoon meals never for dinner....

  10. Both my children love to eat things like rice and spaghetti. I  would add the little tree tops of broccoli and chop them up really small and tell them that it is seasoning.

  11. My kids love fresh furit!!!!
