  1. A friction saw uses a high speed, essentially toothless blade that cuts by heating the (generally ferrous)  workpiece to the point where it melts and burns.

    I said essentially toothless, but actually, there are usually tooth like projections to drag air into the cut, but they don't make chips like a conventional saw blade.

    They can, with suitable application, cut faster than chip making saws, and can cut some harder materials that chip making blades can not cut.

    The main precaution is due the the spray of melted/burning metal and slag ejected from the cut.


  2. Friction is a force which causes the motion between two surfaces to be reduced. Friction happens because most surfaces are not perfectly smooth.In other words, we can say that it opposes the motion of body on other.
