What is a full license?

Question

I hope someone can help me with this - basically ive had my full bike license for over 5 years but only had my car drivers license a matter of months - so does this still mean i have had a full drivers license for 5 years or not.

Its just i need to hire a car out and it states you must have had a full license for at least a year.

Any help would be great

If you are trying to hire a car, you must have held a full icense for a car for a year. Previous bike license will not count...

Well as you are hiring a CAR, I would imagine that the CAR hire company want you to have had a CAR licence for X number of years - and if hiring a bike, a bike licence!

Oh and licenSe is a verb, ie. you licenSe someone to do something. LicenCe is the actual document - unless you're in the US, as they seem unable to have two, different words that are so similar - it's too confusing for them!

Full license usually means you are not in car provisional license. That is usually a period of 18 months without any tickets or violations. In some states they take your picture facing sideways to show you are in provisional license.

Most companies will ask you how long you've had your car license for especially as you are trying to hire out a car. They will be able to tell as they will look at your license when you go to pick up the car (the date you obtained the license is on there). They may take your bike license into account but I doubt it & if they did the hire car insurance would be invalid as you haven't been driving cars for the correct length of time!

You've only had a Full 'CAR' drivers license for a few months.. therefore you wont be able to hire a car  ..

If it is a car you want to hire then the only licence that matters is a full car drivers licence.
