I don't know what I want to do so if you could please suggest a few jobs I'd appreciate it.

Thank you.

  1. One of the best jobs I had, as a teenager, was working at the local movie theater.  The income wasn't that great, but FREE MOVIES and (if the manager wasn't looking) free popcorn.  It took care of the "what do you want to do?" problem all my friends had and we saw every movie that came out!

Relatively easy job and fun working with the public when they're in a good mood (and who isn't in a good mood when you're going to the movies!).

  2. Work at a state park.  You get to work on your tan and meet lots of people.  I worked at the dunes when I was 19 and loved it.

  3. Be a cashier at retail store such as Target, Best Buy, CVS, etc. Really really easy, and fun if you work at a larger store. Just don't do fast food, you'll regret it.

  4. I started as a dishwasher at a local steakhouse, then moved to being a busboy for a few months before I left for the army.

You might look into bookstores, any kind of retail where things are sold that you are interested in. Cashier experience translates across any job in the future, so that'll help a lot.

Starbucks, Peets, Noah's Bagels, any of these trendy chain places.
