If you want something current (only a few years old) I would suggest "Gift Trap".  I am a hard core gamer but do not have family who play games much but after playing the game had to pick up a copy so that I could share with family.  Everyone gives gifts and receives gifts and proper matches (receiver likes their gifts) gets points for both sides.  No one is "knocked out", there are no dice, and it can play under an hour.
