What is a fun pet to have?

Question

I want a fun pet, i am willing to spend pletny of time with it. I would like something more exotic then a cat or dog. I will take very good care of it. I want something fun that can become attached to people. any ideas.

A rabbit sounds like a good companion animal for you.  They are loads of fun, they even run around the house in spirts of energy like cats.  Some will play with you, not to mention toys.  Some are lap bunnies, others like freedom, but overall they are pretty sociable with people and other animals.  My cat loves our bunny, he cleans her too.  They also play together(whilist I'm making sure they don't hurt each other).

Chinchilla!!!!! They are like a mix of a rabbit and a chipmunk.

Try a chinchilla or Parrot. If you want cuddly, I say chinchilla. They are unique, require alot of attention, and are very affectionate.

get a sugar glider......they are sweet....they become very attached to you......you can take them any where with you. read up on them....mine is funny....she keeps me laughing.....good luck!

Depends on what sort of pet you like! Ferrets are fairly exotic, I suppose, and are very fun loving!

An acquaintance of mine recently got a Degu, and he's a very friendly thing. Active, fun, and after reading about them online-- they've a long life span! Afraid I don't know much more about them, though, personally.

I also like bearded dragons, and those are fun if you like sedate pets. Another friend of mine has one, and he's rather funny-- very well socialized and comfortable being held. Nice talking point and she enjoys keeping after him.

Oh, and rats. Maybe not exotic- but they're intelligent! And affectionate, too. (:

Guinea pigs and hamsters are fun. You could get one more exotic than that, like a fancy one from a differeny country, lol.

Also lovebirds are very sweet and whistle, and parrots are fun to teach words. My friend has one that can say her name and other phrases she says a lot, it's hilarious.

Maybe you could have a turtle walking around your house! Only how would you potty train it.... hah.

If you REALLY want something exotic get a descented skunk. I hear they can be cuddly like cats!

You'll probably need a special permit/licsence for it though.

Get rabbits. When they are let out of their cage, they have little spurts of speed in which they jump and twist! It's so cute! Many hobbyists call it popcorning and it is done when they are happy. You can find a ton of videos on youtube of them doing it.

They definately bond to you. My rabbits used to want me to pet them so much, that when I stopped, they would ram their heads into my hand until I petted them again! They also would l**k my hair too, to groom me. They are very clean also, they are easily litterbox trained and l**k themselves like a cat! You need to brush them daily though because they shed so much.
