What is a ghost called if it tries to kill you?

Phantom perhaps? Or just 'evil spirit' even demon.

A poltergise doesn't deliberately try to kill, it just has the power to move objects.

Poltergeists are often fairly mischievous creatures, capable of moving things and causing quite a bit of dismay. They quite often follow one person emanating quite a bit of energy, which excites them for some reason. This is why people appear to be haunted quite a lot. They do not, however, have any intention to harm people. They may cause the occasional wound, but not with the purpose of a fatal strike.

A ghost that tries to kill you is, in most cases, a demon. Unlike other spirits, demons do not have any sort of unfinished business or purpose to be left on the earth. They stay simply because they have quite a blood lust, and can't move on until it's satisfied. It's very difficult to reason with them, let alone kill them. Best of luck.

If it's a hostile spirit that can manipulate physical matter, it is called a poltergeist.

How often have you honestly heard of a ghost killing someone?  Try never.  Ghosts do not kill people.  They thrive on the fact that we still live.  I do not think there is even a word for what you want because it does not exist.
