  1. Legally there is no such thing.

  2. Global citizenship is the adoption of a world government where a person could be a citizen of all countries regardless of boundaries and ethnic groups.  This system will eradicate conflicts between countries since there is only one country to speak of.

  3. hmmm.. that's also the question that r prof gave us instead of r oral exam..haha...as in its d same.. wey.. hmm... for me i think ITS A FALLACY... there's no such thing as global citizen..that's all...

  4. If you're a billionaire you're a global citizen.  You can go anywhere you want, anytime, to do anything.

  5. It's a metaphor, usually employed by American corporations who will move their headquarters halfway around the world to avoid paying their fair share of taxes, and to exploit the labor of people in countries other than America.

  6. To me its just a buzz word for the new world order movement. We need to fight it tooth and nail.

  7. There is no such thing as global citizenship; the folks who'd like to sell you a global passport are scamsters.

  8. A global citizen is merely an individual with an international lifestyle. A well traveled, cosmopolitan individual would probably be considered a "global citizen". Some scholars of international relations point to the emergence of a new world culture, socially liberal and unhindered by cultural divides. Unfortunately this is largely a fallacy. This phenomenon probably stems from the "Davos culture" of the World Economic Forum. High paid businessmen, diplomats, and academics are the majority of these "global citizens". The implications for international governance? I don't see how that question makes any sense. Their is no international governance in the modern state system. The E.U. might come close as the only supra-national organization, but truly international governance is a happy fiction.
