  1. IT just makes gripping and swinging the club more comfortable. The way you grip it, and the force with which you swing it, it puts a lot of pressure on certain points of your hand, especially the soft spot between the thumb and forefinger, so it keeps the friction from giving you blisters. Also, it'll keep sweat from affecting your swing.

  2. gripping the golf club better ... so it doesn't fly out of your hands

  3. hit enough balls and you will figure it out. Say 200 to 500 a day

  4. Golfing w.o a glove can prove to be painful, especially after a full 18.  Wearing a glove increases grip, plus it takes all the heat instead of the inside of your hand.  Plus it adds style to your outfit.

  5. helps to have a good grip while swinging your golf clubs

  6. A golf glove is worn on the left hand of a right handed golfer and is used to improve his/her grip on the golf club.  When a golf club hits the ball the club can turn in their hand without the glove, causing a slice or worse.

Golfers usually have 4-5 pair in their bag.

  7. it helps get a hold of your grip. i had to get a glove beacause my golf club kept slidding and gave me blisters but eventually my grip improved. so i don't have to wear it anymore!

  8. helps your grip and helps avoid blisters.  Also, in the 80s it was a great way to impersonate Michael Jackson :)

  9. The dumb answer is: So manufacturers can make money from us.... just kidding...The main purpose is to give better control of the golf club because it won't slip or turn.  But for most of us that don't quite swing 100% perfect, it will help reduce blisters from the impact of the club face to the ball (or the ground).

Most common is to wear one glove (left for right handed) because that is the hand that has the FULL grip of the club.  But I always have one for the other hand in my bag just in case my other hand gets sweaty, or starts to rain for better grip.

  10. so you have better grip on the club and so your hand isnt hurting after round.
