What is a good, cheap way to soundproof my house?

You can hear my drums outside pretty loud. It has to be cheap, I'm pretty broke. Any suggestions are sincerely appreciated.

Look into a product called "Sound offs" for about $100 to cover your whole set you can be virtually unheard.  Not nearly as fun I know, but they're easy on and easy off and work great.

Well something would be better than nothing, you can get some sound absorbed by those foam mattress covers, sleeping bags, carpeting, blankets.etc.....We once made a room made of hanging blankets and sleeping bags in such a small space that you couldn't turn move without hitting a cymbal with your guitar.
