  1. I recently ordered custom-printed ceramic coffee mugs for our Alano Club.  Each member will get their own cup and they are responsible for the maintenance (washing) of their own cup.  It will drastically cut down on our use of styrofoam cups, but not totally eliminate them.

At work, we have heavy paper cups for hot liquids that are also acceptable for cold liquids, but they are rarely refilled a second time.

  2. Paper cups.

  3. paper cups without any wax or plastic lining are compostable (meaning they deteriorate into dirt/soil/whatever), so those would be a great alternative.

  4. Why does it have to be disposable?

  5. In what universe is having people carry their own mugs/ cups that they then take home and wash themselves not an option?

  6. You could just use water bottles and recycle those. But if you throw them away, wait for the time to past for biogradable bottles. These bottles decompose in only 80 days, alternetive to over 1,000 years. However, these aren't very "available" yet so just recycle your bottles. You probably say why washing is not an option because you think we will waste water. Just wash them by the bunch so you don't use as much, and don't turn on the water unless it is needed. If you're too lazy, water bottles are the way to go.

  7. metal prison cups

  8. Paper cups !

  9. if its not an option i would say paper, but if you can be a bit more flexable, use a real plastic cup, just was out and use all day, why is it not an option? just lazyness?

  10. There are compostable paper cups - I don't know how expensive they are but I'd say they would be worth it as normal paper cups are not recyclable as they are coated with wax and various other things.  There are paper cups with higher ratios of post-consumer materials which are better as they are recycled goods - Best option is to give a discount for those who bring their own cups to cut your own costs for cups and help use less.  Cheers
